In alignment with its commitment to educational empowerment and social inclusion, the Hajiya Hadiza Foundation awarded scholarships to 65 students at the University of Abuja on January 25, 2024. This initiative seeks to remove financial barriers for students from diverse faculties, with a focus on those facing economic hardship.
The scholarship award ceremony, held at one of the university’s auditoriums, was graced by Amb. Hajiya Hadiza M. Umar, the founder of the organization and a devoted philanthropist. In her address, Ambassador Hadiza initially announced scholarships for 50 students but, moved by the overwhelming enthusiasm and need, extended the opportunity to 15 additional students, raising the total number of beneficiaries to 65.

This program reflects the foundation’s mission to provide financial support to underprivileged students, including orphans and others burdened by educational expenses. Ambassador Hadiza reiterated her passion for creating opportunities for those in need, stating:
"It is not about how many billions or trillions you have; it’s about having the heart to give."
The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof. AbdulRasheed Na'Allah, and Prof. Sharif Ibrahim, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations.
