Joyful Eid Celebration for Residents of Nyanya

The Nyanya community, located within the Federal Capital Territory, recently experienced an outpouring of generosity as the Hajiya Hadiza Foundation, led by Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza M. Umar, extended support during the Eid El-Kabir celebration. The foundation provided food items, clothing, and cash assistance, spreading joy and easing the burdens of the less privileged.
Among the many grateful beneficiaries was Mrs. Comfort Ibiang, a widow, who expressed her surprise and heartfelt appreciation:

“I am amazed at what this woman is doing. We are all so happy. As widows and less privileged individuals, we are incredibly grateful for her support.”

Similarly, Mr. Lyke Vincent, another recipient, shared his excitement:

“I never expected something like this during these tough economic times. People are struggling, and for someone to step forward and ease our burdens, even slightly, is truly commendable. The Nyanya community celebrates her from the depths of our hearts.”

During the outreach, Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza shared her personal joy in giving back:

“Today is one of my happiest days because I love to put smiles on people’s faces.”

She further articulated the foundation’s overarching vision: a society where women are empowered, children receive education, and persons with disabilities are valued and provided equal opportunities to thrive. Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza emphasized that the foundation’s initiatives are entirely self-funded through her personal business ventures, without any international sponsorship or external donations. Her philanthropic efforts received acknowledgment from Mr. James Thomas, Chairman of Karu Local Government Area, who lauded the foundation’s impact, particularly during a time when many Nigerians struggle to meet basic needs:

“The beneficiaries will never forget how the foundation has changed their lives.”

In her remarks, Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza underscored the importance of collective responsibility in nation-building:

“The government cannot do it alone. Those who have been fortunate must lead the way in giving back to society. It is our duty to build a better Nigeria.”

She urged successful Nigerians to actively engage in uplifting communities while the government works toward repositioning the nation’s future. Speaking on effective governance, she called for credible leadership and accountability to ensure that the benefits of democracy reach the most vulnerable members of society. Drawing from her own life experiences, Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, assuring them there is light at the end of the tunnel.
