The foundation's key initiatives and accomplishment includes a cross-country empowerment tour in honour of the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day. In Borno State, widows of fallen heroes were empowerment with cash and various business equipment like grinding machines, sewing machines and so on, while wounded soldiers at the Theater Command Medical hospital were given wheel chairs and crutches, a remarkable gesture to support the widows of fallen heroes in Borno State. This was followed by a visit to the IDP camp in Borno where the foundation distributed food items and cash to internally displaced persons.
As a way of support for Mothers and newborns, the Foundation visited the National Hospital in Abuja where postnatal relief materials, baby essentials, and financial support were given to the family of sextuplets as a way of ensuring their health and well-being. Similarly, the award of scholarship to 65 students at the University of Abuja has opened doors to higher education for young Nigerians across various disciplines. In line with the foundation's mission to uplift widows and Persons Living with Disabilities (PLwD), the foundation also brought transformative relief and empowerment to residents in Suleja Emirate in Niger State.
Furthermore, to demonstrate her commitment to social reintegration, the foundation also donated sewing machines, shoe-making equipment, and hairdressing tools to inmates of the Nigeria Medium Facility Prison, equipping them with skills for a better future. Additionally, during a visit to Ushafa, the foundation also donated case and food items to widows in Ushafa as a way of bringing comfort to the less privileged in the community.
During the Eid El-Kabir, the foundation brought joy to the needy and less-privileged communities in Nyanya by distributing food items, clothing, and cash gifts. Just recently, the foundation, in response to a devastating flood that swept across Borno State, swiftly deployed a rescue team to the Shettimari area of Borno State to deliver vital relief materials to affected families. Through her tireless efforts, Amb. Hajiya Hadiza exemplifies the power of resilience, compassion, and generosity. Her work with the Hajiya Hadiza Foundation continues to inspire communities and foster hope, making an indelible impact on the lives of many.
