Amb. Hajiya Hadiza M. Umar is a famous Nigerian philanthropist and a political enthusiast born into a joyous and reputable family of the Ali M. Umar Sani. Married and blessed with children, she is a woman of high intellect and achieving various heights, both her Mother and Father left a great legacy which she has been trying to uphold and surpass in her own world of humanitarian service. According to her words:
“I find so much joy in seeing others smiling, the sounds of the needy, of the orphans, of the widows, of the homeless not only serve her trials, but equally found meaning in reflection to her life of life-giving.”
Inspiration and Founding of the Foundation
Inspired by the challenges she faced in her early life, Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza decided to dedicate her whole life in serving mankind and total devotion to God in honour of her late Mother, Father, and Siblings. In a bid to fulfill her initiative of hope, Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza Umar founded the Hajiya Hadiza Foundation, which helps to bring hope, provide smiles and succor to many widows and children in Nigeria. Her mission was simple: uplift the women, children and the poorest of the poor across the 36 States of the Federation, both in public and private sectors.
Public Service and Political Engagement
In light of that, Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza has served and contributed in public sectors and also through political mechanisms where she served as a member of the Board of Directors in the following sectors:
Presently, she served as the Deputy Director, African and Technical in Tinubu’s Shettima’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in the 2023 General Elections, where she passionately worked and campaigned in more than 28 states across the Federation and distributed different items such as sewing machines, grinding machines, generators, clippers among many others. Hajiya Hadiza has sponsored across many sectors such as micro and macro businesses, Agriculture, housing and many others.
Nationwide Impact and Recognition
Her impact over the years has been incredibly enormous, as the Hajiya Hadiza Foundation has made a significant impact on the lives of thousands across the country. From her country-wide empowerment to celebrate the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day with widows of fallen heroes in Borno State, to offering scholarships to students of University of Abuja where up to Sixty-five (65) beneficiaries were picked across various faculties and departments of the institution.
In recognition of her meaningful and outstanding contributions in both public and private sectors, Amb. Hajiya Hadiza M. Umar is a recipient of numerous awards both locally and internationally; chief among which are

Continued Philanthropy and Community Outreach
Amb. Hajiya Hadiza M. Umar continues to offer financial assistance to vulnerable groups such as donation of relief materials, food items, postnatal items, school bags, sewing machines, generating machines, shoe-making machines, standing fans and fiscal cash for orphanage and widows. She has continuously and selflessly taken it upon herself to organize and front several empowerment events offered by the Hajiya Hadiza Foundation, just to mention a few.
