Who We Are
The Hajiya Hadiza Foundation is a registered non-profit organization committed to making a positive impact and inspire hope for all Nigeria Widows, Orphan, Less privileged, vulnerable people and also empowerment outreach to Persons with disabilities.
Our Founder Ambassador Hajiya Hadiza M. Umar is a woman of integrity, passion and excellence, who has dedicated her life to serving the nation and empowering the people, especially women, youths, and the less privileged. She is a core supporter and lover of humanitarian empowerment schemes, and has initiated and executed several projects and programs that have improved the lives and livelihoods of thousand of Nigerians across the country.
Our Story
As a humanitarian body, we recognize the immense sacrifices made by these patriotic individuals and our mission is to alleviate the burdens of their families through various support services, financial aid, educational programs and emotional assistance. Since our inception, we have been at the forefront of advocating for and implementing initiatives that foster societal development and provide support to the underprivileged.
Our range of programs and initiatives has been designed to address their unique needs, enhance their well-being. This initiative is designed to provide these women & individuals with the necessary skills and resources to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to their families and society at large.

To create a society where women are empowered, children are educated, aged men, women and youth, as well as widows, are supported and uplifted, persons with disabilities are valued, and everyone has equal opportunities to thrive and reach their full potential.

Objectives
- To engage in various empowerment program across the federation aimed at assisting the widows, Youth, The aged, The less privileged, The vulnerable in the society, and child support
- To promote self-reliance by organizing vocational training and for the youth, women, and the Less privileged across the Federation.
- To help the needy and the less Privileged in the society by facilitating access to medical care, To pay medical and hospital bills that the foundation can afford, And to engage in appeal funds for those they cannot afford.
- To render assistance to the needy, the homeless, and to empower the youths in thesociety, and to carter for thegeneral welfare of the handicaps and the less privileged in the society.
- To promote talent developmental program through life changing programs, and capacity building and skill acquisition, and to encourage youths to embrace skills acquisition programes and vocational activities across the Federation.
- To provide health care and education services to the less privilege and the needy
- To assist and support people affected by natural disaster including Flood, Fire and all kind of diseases and Epidemic, Famine and Various social problems across the Federation.
- To facilitate access to education for the less privileged, the orphans and those in need and to assist and empower the less privileged through acquisition of skills for self-employment. to increase awareness and to bring out creativity and innovations in youths and to promote the development, enlightenment and empowerment of youths across the federation.
- To help and support families of para-militry personnel who died in active service or are incapacitated by giving cash Donations, Grants, Scholarships, Medical attention, setting up of small scare vocational training across the Federation
- To help youths inculcate values expedient for developing their leadership skills and to build the minds of young persons and sensitize them for a better society

At the Hajiya Hadiza Foundation, our work centers around three life-changing pillars
Empowerment, Job Access & Financial Support
We provide direct financial assistance for essential needs, facilitate job placements, and offer vocational training to empower women, youths, and underserved individuals with skills and income-generating opportunities.
Education & Emotional Well-being
We support underprivileged individuals with scholarships and learning resources while offering counseling, mental health support, and safe spaces for emotional healing—especially for those coping with loss or hardship.
Advocacy & Social Inclusion
We champion the rights of widows, orphans, and vulnerable communities through public awareness campaigns, grassroots engagement, and partnerships aimed at driving meaningful social and policy change.
Skills Mentorship Training Program
At the heart of our empowerment mission is the Skills Mentorship Training (SMT) — the Foundation’s annual flagship program designed to uplift and equip vulnerable individuals, women, youths, and the less privileged across Nigeria.
Through structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on training, the SMT program helps participants bridge skill gaps, boost employability, and ignite entrepreneurship. Each year, 10 to 20 individuals are selected from all 36 states and the FCT, giving them access to free, high-impact training in one of four focus areas:
- Fashion & Design
- Agricultural Training
- Business Intelligence Mentorship
- Basic ICT and Digital Skills
- Applications are open annually via our website. Participants complete a simple KYC process and select their preferred skill package.
